No, you do not always need to conduct a writer audition to begin a project. If you already have added writers to your Favorite Writers list, you can use those same writers in any future project. After you click Create a New Project, you will be asked to choose a Workflow Type. You can conduct a writer audition if you wish. Or, you can choose New Content (or Re-Write Existing Content), and begin setting up your project. When you get to the Writer Assignment step, you will have the options of direct assigning to one favorite writer, or posting to the Favorite Writers Job Board where any of your favorites can claim the jobs on a first-come, first-served basis. New auditions are a good idea when 1) you need to add more people to your Favorite Writers list; 2) one of your writers has informed you that they won't be available for an extended period of time; 3) you need to create some content that is substantially different from what you normally do and you'd like to find someone with a different background or skillset. Still not sure? Contact your favorite writers and describe the new type of project you have in mind to ask whether they would be interested. Chances are good that your favorite writers are versatile enough to handle different types of writing!
