Re-Write Existing Content means that you will be supplying an original piece of text and asking the writer to re-write it from scratch. Examples of this include updating the "About Us" or "Services" page of your site, or re-writing an old blog post that needs to be updated with more than just a little polishing.
Ordering a Re-Write is just like ordering New Content, except that you will be prompted to enter the Original Content to be rewritten. This can be the actual text, or a file attachment or URL. Just make sure to enter something in the Original Content field while setting up the job so the writer knows what to do.
Proofread/Edit Existing Content means that you will be hiring and editor, not a writer. You will provide the Original Content to be edited and describing what kind of editorial services you need (basic editing, fact checking, etc.). Editing services have a similar cost structure to writing — you will pay in cents per word, based on the final word count.
In a Proofread/Edit project, you can post the job to the Open Editor Job Board where an editor who matches your criteria (star rating, expertise areas, etc.) will claim the job and edit the content. Or, you can Direct Assign to a Favorite Editor if you already have added one to your team — or you can post to the Favorite Editors Job Board where any of your favorite editors can claim the job on a first-come, first-served basis.
